Introducing Apocalypse Mode
We understand that players want a place where they can enjoy playing with all the big cards. To fulfil this need, we have created the Apocalypse mode, a permanent game mode that allows you to create a deck of up to 400 points. Let’s delve into the specifics:
What is Apocalypse Mode?
Apocalypse Mode allows users to unleash their biggest cards and dominate the battlefield. It will resemble our ranked game mode but with a significant twist. Players will have 400 points to create the ultimate deck. This mode will be a permanent addition and an integral part of your Battle Pass progression, offering a new path to level up.
While it may share similarities with our ranked mode, initially, it will operate similarly to our casual mode. The absence of a trophy system and rewards is intentional at this stage. Our objective is to closely observe its performance and explore the possibility of introducing alternative systems in the future.
When can you access Apocalypse Mode?
To access Apocalypse Mode, you need to achieve rank 15. Once you reach this milestone, you can start playing and take advantage of the 400 deck points available in this mode. The number of slots remains the same, but you’ll have more points to use, allowing you to create powerful decks that can withstand any opponent. For those who have already surpassed rank 15, Apocalypse Mode will be instantly unlocked.
Adjustments to Inquisitor Greyfax
In our commitment to balanced gameplay, we’ve modified Inquisitor Greyfax’s special rule, shifting from fixed numbers to percentages. For every 5% of total unused deck points, each card in your deck receives a 5% buff to all stats when deployed, up to a maximum of 75%.
We’re excited about these updates and hope you are too! Your feedback is important to us, so please let us know your thoughts regarding these new changes.
I think this is too much of a nerf for greyfax – if my maths is right, to get a full 75% buff with a 200pt deck, you’d only have 7 points to play with after greyfax’s 43 points are taken into account. To get a 50% buff, you’d only have 57 points and so on.. makes her pretty rubbish in standard ranked mode and still pretty impotent in Armageddon.
I understand she was too strong for Armageddon before, but this is too much
The changes to Greyfax are too much. In effect, regulations are tougher even for a 200pt game. Before you had 75pt available (i.e. 125 reserved for maxed effect), now it would be only 50. I understand the need for a change for a 400pt game, but this is ridiculous.
A status quo would be 3% benefit for every 2.5% of max points available.
Adios greyfax we appreciate that you’re still the most versatile warlord in the game but yeah you had this coming for a long time. Hopefully she’s healthy now
These changes killed Greyfax completely. Now even the Corpses Lord looks more interesting.
