Greetings, citizens,
We’re excited to share some upcoming updates to the shop as the next step in our ongoing efforts to make cards more accessible to all players. Following the recent introductions of hero packs and wild cards, we know that the current shop setup can sometimes feel overwhelming, with too many tabs and a wide range of offers that can make finding what you need a challenge.
To address this, we’re making some changes to simplify and improve your experience. One key update is that when you max out a card, you’ll now receive plasma instead of coins, which we hope will provide more flexibility in how you use your rewards. We’re confident that these adjustments will make it easier and more enjoyable for you to navigate the shop and find what you’re looking for.
These updates will be rolling out over the coming weeks, with some changes entering the shop as soon as possible. With that said, let’s dive into the details of these changes:
Simplifying the Shop
We’re reducing the number of tabs to cut down on clutter and help you find what you’re looking for without unnecessary hassle. We’re also narrowing down the number of offers available at any given moment. For example, Combat Patrols and Battle Force boxes won’t always be available but will often be tied to specific campaigns that match their factions, giving you a clearer idea of when they’ll appear.
Additionally, some of these offers will rotate into the shop outside of campaigns, so you’ll still have chances to pick up packs for your favourite factions as they cycle through. We’re also adjusting the size and price of these packs—Combat Patrols will be smaller and more affordable, while Battle Force boxes will offer larger bundles
New Approaches to Shop Content
We’re also replacing coins in many offers with additional plasma, cards, and wild cards to make the contents more valuable and satisfying. We’re making adjustments to how offers are priced and the discounts available to ensure they are more appealing across different price points, giving you better value for your purchases.
Campaign Pack Improvements
We’re also making some tweaks to campaign packs. Going forward, these packs will offer more general benefits to the campaign’s faction, not just cards tied directly to the current campaign’s mission keyword. Additionally, we’re excited to bring back specific guaranteed warlords in Campaign Starter Packs, which many of you probably remember.
Your Feedback Matters
These changes are about improving your experience, and we’re eager to hear your thoughts once the updates go live. Your feedback is what drives these improvements, and we’ll keep adjusting things to ensure they work best for you.
We hope these changes make your experience smoother and more enjoyable!
you all still use the word “guaranteed” as if you know what it means, despite having clearly proven to me that you don’t understand that word, nor stand behind your “guaranteed” offers.
“Guaranteed” someone will make a rubbish complaint every blog post. The campaign warlord functionality worked when it was in before, so I don’t see why we wouldn’t expect and find the same again.
Nonsense complaints just create noise.
The range and impact of the changes outlined here are some of the most “generous” (less money grabbing) in a very long time. Be happy.
I appreciate your willingness to listen to feedback. I love this game and I’ve only been playing for a few months, but I was wondering if you considered giving out rewards for people like me that blaze through the battle pass. I know you get a lot of gold at the end, but after that there really isn’t anything else to do. Even just a little bit of something would go a long way. Great game overall! I was also wondering if there is any work being done on the server side because even on PC there is a lot of lag/delay between mouse clicks and actions. Anyway keep up the good work!
Preferred the old shop format to be honest. Like the plasma offers for the new cards, sometimes 24.99vwas a bit much to spend in one go. Otherwise no issues.
I really appreciate that you are keeping up with the fanbase here. I hope that this comes across as an idea that I myself has thought of …I cannot and will not speak for any other gamer out there ….sorry for the upcoming rant.
I have been playing Combat Cards and enjoying it but can no longer afford it , I have spent over 4 times the amount of a physical console game like Space Marine 2 that has no micro-transactions. This game will stall for me as Tacticus has; the system of Plasma conversion to currency is depleted fast when needing to use it to free up slots for rewards. Then to use the currency to upgrade the Cards. It is a viscious cycle that is an actual gamble because the gamer never knows what they are going to get. It is always a possibility never a guaranteed charachter or card or upgrade. This game will stall on progress , I cannot afford next season game pass. Tacticus has fallen to extremely slow progress because I cannot and will not be able to pay anymore. It is a sad to say but Warpforge will fall to stalling progress too , and that game just rolled out and already has the same in-app purchase dynamics of gamble guessing. GWWH40K is for on TableTop, Kill Team and Combat Patrol on TableTop is both faster and wicked fun. These three digital games are stalling for me but Soace Marine 2 has not ; why , because no micro-transactions to progress. Gamer skill play and campaign and multiplayer pushes you through advancement not paying for an upgrade or equipment item or having to “farm” for the character to advance.
Forgive my rant please, these games are fun . They are becoming trouble for me to play financially.
