This has been a really interesting season balance wise off the back of the introduction of Trait Rank 4. There has been a big shift overall between warlord performance and trait success so it’s been really hard to pick apart any warlords and traits that may need adjusting. Because of that, and because it’s clear we’ll probably need another season for this to settle down, no Warlords or Traits are going to be adjusted. Instead the focus will be on cards that have continued to trend below (or above) average both before and after the Trait Rank 4 changes. Also with very limited bodyguard changes made last season this will be a slightly larger balance pass than usual.
Despite no changes to the Warlords worth noting is the overall performance at this point, with Greyfax still coming out with the best win-rate overall (if only just). Some previously less seen warlords have jumped right up with Boss Snikrot now having the 5th best win-rate and the Swarmlord coming out at 6th overall. Also great to see is that both Darkstrider and Lelith Hesperax have performed very strongly despite being newly released, each coming in the middle of the roster. Another thing to note is we are aware of the performance, and general feeling around Captain Acheran. While we have nothing to announce now, he is being reviewed, but extra care needs to be taken on a warlord that every player starts with. I’ll be looking to get the same performance breakdown for warlords as I did last season out on the Forum and Discord once the season has finished.

The game is stupidly hard now. This only appeals to anyone who has powered up cards. Why can’t you concentrate on updating your tutorials on the site or rewriting the help section. Another thing that might help would be to reduce the amount of cards players need to upgrade, even if it was just for some of the common ones. Players lower than terra (whatever ‘arena’ that may be lol) simply can’t get a look in.
Just a typo note: Kog da Rekka is listed above as costing 13 but the card says 14.
Appreciate the changes, continue to feel the game is trending in the right direction. You guys really have your finger on the pulse, so well done. You really fixed Snikrot in a way that made the game more fun all-around by bumping up card traits. I also liked addressing the Acheran complaints. Would it be possible to publish the seasonal warlord winrates in these updates? That would be helpful and super interesting to read. My only quibble at this point is one I have said before on the forums- Gloguthrox’s rule is a problem. It plays exactly like a Servants of the Emperor rule would, occurring when your cards die. This is a decidedly un-Chaotic playstyle that feels neither fun nor important to the deck. Someone published a forum post about maximizing uses of the rule which I won’t get into any deeper than just to say Glog decks win more when they focus less on activating his rule. I like that it is one of the few rules that counters small, elite decks like Tolmeron, Voldus, or Greyfax, and I recognize the importance of requiring those counters. But the way it plays could feel more interesting or important. Thanks for listening to me gripe.
Hello,
This my felling after few days in the game.
The first hours, I feel like I just can play few battles and that all. I think if you put some tutorial/achievements for new players it could be a great idea.
After that, a faster animation could be great or the possibility to chose between normal/fast/and really fast.
Also an improvement of the readability between cards, comparison can be really useful for player who don’t know well warhammer.
Thanks
Correction – ORK: Kog da Rekka has changed from 14 cost to 13 cost, not from 13 to 12 as stated above.
Seems to me like it’s starting to balance out. Good let’s see how they play. I’m actually looking forward to seeing how this works out.
The Imperial Guard could probably be split from the Servants of the Emperor list and made their own Faction.
Add trooper cards from various regiments, heavy weapons reams, specialist weapons, various officers, commissars, armoured vehicles etc.
That would make the SotE more the Inquisition, Mechanicus, and Custodes, and let the IG shine a bit on its own.
Just a thought I had.
Stop messing with lord of change you are making it a unplayable card.
That one Orc warlord who allows his units to fire again is absolutely broken. Also please just buff the lord of corpses, he is hilariously shit
Dear God-Emperor of Mankind / Ruinous Powers / Gork and Mork etc.
Love your game, think it’s awesome. Had an idea?
Don’t know if this will work as I’m no genius and have limited comprehension of the game mechanics programming skills required to do the magical warp manipulating things you do.
Could you introduce a wargear feature? Was thinking that the Warlords could have a wargear card slot. You could then create a series of wargear cards to collect in addition to bodyguards and WL’s. Cards could range from things like: bionic eye + x ranged damage, bionic arm + x melee dmg, null field % reduced psycic damage, Medicae kit – + x % health when below xx health, orbital barrage massive damage to all cards in play (ok maybe that’s going too far)
But you get the idea. This could offer a completely different dynamic to the game, with a varied WLs addons. wargear could range from passive boosts to stat enhancements.
Would love to hear back from you
Love the game, really enjoy playing.
Though I have noticed an FPS issue when my phone is on 120hz mode.
On 60hz the gameplay is smooth. On 120 its chunky and laggy.
Phone model: Samsung S20 5g
I hope this is something that you guys can fix 🙂
