Warhammer Combat Cards 6th Anniversary Celebration!

Greetings, Citizens!

In today’s blog, we’re giving you a full rundown of all the events, rewards, and releases you can expect over the next two weeks of anniversary celebrations—starting this Friday (08/08)!

Headline Feature: Enhancements

The spotlight feature of our 6th Anniversary celebration is the launch of Enhancements! As already covered in last week’s blog post and livestream, this new system lets you customize the stats of your Warlords for the first time ever.

This initial rollout will be limited to Warlords and only affect card stats, but we’re already planning to expand this feature to Bodyguards and add more options in future updates. Be sure to check out the links above for more details and let us know what you think!

Content Release: New Supreme Commander

After a short break, we’re back to our regular schedule of Supreme Commander releases. Kicking off the anniversary, the brand-new Supreme Commander of the Grey Knights will be joining the roster!

For a full breakdown of his rules and abilities, check out the complete write-up [here]. If you’re a fan of psykers, you’re in for a treat… Coming hot on the heels of Magnus, this means two Psychic Warlords in a row!

Quality of Life Improvements

Alongside Enhancements, we’re introducing a major quality-of-life improvement for Epic card progression.

We’re swapping the positions of an Epic card’s primary and secondary trait unlocks, making secondary traits available much earlier. The new trait progression will look like this:

1.0 → 2.0 → 2.1 → 3.1 → 4.1 → 4.2

This change ensures that Epic cards feel more powerful and distinct from Commons and Rares much earlier in their progression path.

Campaign Schedule

Over the two-week celebration, we’re running six campaigns, including three curated events:

• Community Campaign – featuring decks designed and submitted by our players
  
• PlayOn Campaign – created by our friends at PlayOn Tabletop
  
• Horde Mode – a fan-favorite festival mode where you’ll face down waves of enemies for epic rewards
  

New Modifiers

We’re also adding a brand-new modifier and shaking up an old one:

• Crusade Modifier – your deck points increase with each level, letting your small force grow into full army by the end of the campaign
  

Unexpected Reinforcements: Warlord Edition – your random card will always include a secondary Warlord!

Giveaways & Rewards

Following last year’s “5 Cards to Level 5”, this year we’re stepping it up with “6 Cards to Level 6”!
That’s right, six cards will be available through daily giveaways and campaign rewards, with enough copies provided to upgrade each of them all the way to Level 6!

We’re also bringing back the fan-favorite 6x rewards event, split into two phases:

To celebrate the launch of Enhancements, all Enhancement rerolls will be discounted by 50%, and we’ll be offering exclusive packs that contain only Warlords and Supreme Commanders.
