It’s been a while now since Enhancements arrived for Warlords, and we’re now expanding them to the wider Bodyguard roster, starting with Legendary cards. The new Enhancements are rolling out this Thursday (27/11), and with discounted rerolls for the first week!

Enhancements for Legendary Bodyguards will function much like Warlord Enhancements, with three enhancement slots unlocking at levels 6, 11, and 16 – the new max level.

We’re making some adjustments to Enhancements for bodyguards, the first of which is the reduced reroll cost: Legendary Bodyguards now cost only 50 Plasma to reroll, half the cost of Warlords. With such a large pool of Bodyguards, this reduction makes fine-tuning your favourite legendaries far more manageable.

Omni Enhancement Rebalance

We’ve also made an important adjustment based on your feedback about the Omni enhancement. Omni will no longer appear at Bronze for Bodyguards, and now grants +5% to all stats at Silver and +10% at Gold. This keeps it powerful but ensures single-stat bonuses remain compelling options, providing double the boost of Omni at the same rarity; and encourages varied, meaningful build choices. One of our core goals with Enhancements is to deepen individuality and customization across decks, and rebalancing Omni for Bodyguards helps ensure it’s not always the obvious choice in the same way it has been for Warlords.

We won’t be adjusting the Warlord Omni for several reasons, firstly we acknowledge that many players have dug deep aiming to hit all gold omni levels. Beyond that from a gameplay perspective with more cards getting enhancements the effect of one card’s enhancements is going to have less impact overall, and if the one card that is able to reach a higher strength level is the Warlord then that makes more thematic, and aspirational, sense. You want your Warlord to really stand out as a powerful commander. Finally a Warlord ultimately can only affect their own deck, where a bodyguard can be a staple under any Warlord in the same faction meaning their scope to impact the overall power level of a players collection is much less.

Enhancement Levels and Progression

When Warlord Enhancements first arrived, the upgrade trees for all cards were adjusted to make progression faster and cheaper, compensating for the new enhancement levels. Because those level-tree updates have already been live for some time, the three new enhancement levels for Bodyguards will be added directly into the existing progression. Some cards may appear to “slide back” within the tree, for example, shifting back a trait level, but overall level and card copies remain unchanged. Players with max-level cards before the rollout of the initial Warlord Enhancements will still have all required copies and should be able to upgrade immediately back to max level, with only the final enhancement slot left to unlock.

This is a significant update, and we’re excited to see how customizing Bodyguards will shake up the game and unlock new styles and strategies. For now, we’re starting with Legendaries to ensure a smooth rollout, but our long-term plan is to extend enhancements to additional Bodyguard tiers once the system has settled.

See you on the battlefield… and happy Tanksgiving!
