The new season will start on Monday, October 26th.

From the Kroot who head into every battle looking for a meal, we head into Nazdreg season who heads into every battle looking for the snazziest loot! And also maybe a meal…

We’ll be looking to make some of the Ork cards all the more snazzier this season with a few targeted buffs, with a large chunk of cost reductions, because if you’re doing your looting right, things tend to be a bit cheaper.

We’ve also got the usual buffs to lower performing Warlords which we will lead off with now!

Warlord Changes:

Huron Blackheart

Tyrant of Badab

Cost Change: -4 Cost (36 -> 33)

Spoils of War: Whenever a friendly card destroys an enemy card, it gains  (+50% -> +65%) of that card’s attack stats, even if the attacking card did not have those attacks previously.

As another fan of looting and general piracy it’s fitting to see Huron getting a buff this season. His rule has a high ceiling, but the need to keep the key cards alive that are gaining the stat bonuses has always been incredibly difficult. The boost to the stat steal should make the pay off better, and also with a cost reduction be able to get some bigger cards, or more support, in place to give him a better chance for success.

Boss Zagstruk

Leader of da Vulcha Skwad

Stats Change: +20 Wounds

Full Throttle: Whenever a friendly card would Ready, it instead makes an attack for (100% -> 125%) of its Melee attack value. If the card cannot make a Melee attack, it will Ready as normal.

Boss Zagstruk is a popular Ork Warlord but currently has the worst competitive winrate out of all Ork Warlords, so as an Ork Season it’s a good time to give him a buff. A modest increase in Wounds is always good, but getting an above-rate Melee attack off of his Ready actions should make a significant difference.

Nekrosor Ammentar

The Triarch’s Punishment

Prophet of Destruction: This Warlord takes (15% -> 20%) less damage for each other friendly card in play. In addition, whenever this Warlord destroys an enemy card, permanently increase the attack of all friendly cards by 20%

The Nekrosor is still a potent Warlord, but the initial nerf may have brought him down a bit further than needed. Now that he’s had time to settle in and players have been able to level him, he’s sitting at a comfortable spot. The Necron roster definitely needs more Warlords that can put in the work, and realistically, when playing against him as an opponent, he doesn’t pose nearly the same threat he does in the hands of a player. This definitely means he can be on the stronger side without being oppressive to play against, and so allowing him a bit more free reign in the hands of the players has little downside, and a lot of upside.

And with then lets check out the new flashy gear on the ork bodyguards:

Bodyguard Changes:

Bokgrobber’s Brute

Stat Change: +20 Wounds
