OCTOBER? NEVER HEARD OF IT.

ORKTOBER has arrived in Warhammer Combat Cards, and the greenskins are making themselves very comfortable.

There’s plenty happening on the battlefield this month, but perhaps most importantly, a new Ork Warlord is preparing to join the fight: Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, mighty Warboss of the Bad Moons.

And if there’s one thing the Bad Moons know, it’s that there’s no problem that can’t be solved with enough teef, enough dakka and something unnecessarily expensive bolted onto your favourite shoota.

So, in honour of Orktober, we decided to put aside all the sensible development questions and ask the Warhammer Combat Cards team some considerably more important ones.

MEET DA BAD MOON

Before we get to the interrogation, let’s talk about our newest Warlord.

Nazdreg is coming to Warhammer Combat Cards!

As one of the most infamous Bad Moons Warbosses around, Nazdreg has everything a self-respecting Ork could want: wealth, influence, an impressive arsenal and, naturally, plenty of opportunities to show everyone else exactly how rich he is.

The Bad Moons grow their teeth faster than other Orks, which means more teef to spend, and they’ve developed a reputation for having some of the flashiest weapons and equipment around.

Basically, if another Ork has something good, a Bad Moon wants something bigger, louder and more expensive.

Sounds like excellent Warlord material to us.

We’ll be sharing more about Nazdreg, including his Special Rule and how he’ll play, as we get closer to his arrival.

For now, though…

WE ASKED THE DEVS DA IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

Game balance? Card stats? Development pipelines?

Not today.

For Orktober, we’re finding out who on the Combat Cards team truly understands the Orky way of life.

Dese answers are from MadBoss, ‘cos Emperur iz wot da ‘umies ‘as!

You suddenly have 100,000 teef. What completely unnecessary thing are you spending them on?

I’d ‘ead to da painboy to find out wats goin’ on in me gob. An’ den I’ll krump ‘im for tryin’ to take my teef!

How much dakka is enough dakka?

‘Ow green is too green?

Red ones go faster. What does yellow do? Wrong answers encouraged.

You can’t tell me wot to do. Only fing that encoura… ekora… gets me right riled up, is a good skrap. An’ yellow is for welf, an’ propa blinged out gear.

You’re a Mekboy for the day. What are you building?

Somethin’ proper killy, an’ maybe a bit zappy… I ‘eard dere wuz dis one mek right, an’ ‘e gon made a shoota which tellyported gitz closa so ‘e could ‘it ‘im wiv ‘is choppa. Soundz like a gud plan dat.

It is spooky season. What do you think an Ork is actually scared of?

Da boyz ain’t scared of nuffin’. Oh, aktually, not ‘avin’ someone to skrap. Dat’s pretty scary.

You’ve joined the Bad Moons. What’s the first incredibly flashy thing you’re buying?

You’z sed I ‘ad a ‘undred th.. Lotz of teef. I’m gettin’ me a gargant. Proper killy dat.

You have to survive a Waaagh! using one completely ordinary object from the studio. What are you taking?

I’m in da WAAAGH! Who cares ‘bout survivin’!

Most important question: brutal but kunnin’, or kunnin’ but brutal?

Nah dat ain’t right, Mork is kunninly brutal, and Gork is brutally kunnin’. Or iz it da uvva way round?
