Greetings Citizens,

The battlefield has changed. With the arrival of Enhancements, Warlords now have new ways to grow stronger, fight smarter, and adapt to your strategy.

We know you might have questions about unlocking slots, choosing the right boosts, or using the reroll mechanic. That’s why we’ve put together this FAQ: to give you clear, quick answers and help you get the most out of this game-changing feature.

Whether you’re unlocking your first slot or fine-tuning a fully-enhanced Warlord, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know.

What are Enhancements, and how are they different from regular card upgrades?

Enhancements are a new type of card upgrade that offers a choice of bonuses. It differs from the existing progression path and opens up playstyle customisation, as the same card can have different enhancements for each player.

How do I unlock Enhancement slots?

Each card will receive 3 new enhancement levels that require coins and duplicate cards. This means common cards are now going from 15 to 18 levels, and non-common cards are going from 13 to 16 levels.

Each one of these 3 new levels unlocks one enhancement slot, e.g for a Warlord (non-common) the first enhancement slot will be unlocked at level 14, the second at level 15, and the third at level 16.

Are my current max-level cards no longer max level?

There are now three extra levels on each card, so what was previously max level is no longer the level cap.

Can I change my Enhancements later?

Yes, you are able to reroll for a different enhancement at any point once you have an enhancement slot unlocked. This will also give you the option to keep the existing enhancement if you dislike the rerolled options.

Will certain enhancements be better for specific cards or decks?

Since enhancements are a % based buff to card stats, some cards will benefit more from that buff than others. However the flexibility of enhancements means you can shape cards in your own way.

While there will be some enhancements that provide more raw numerical advantage, every enhancement will improve a card, and opens them up to new plays and synergies.

Does rerolling cost increase each time?

The plasma cost for rerolling is fixed and does not change per reroll attempt.

What happens if I reroll and disconnect or misclick?

The initial enhancement choice and reroll choice is held until interacted with.

Will I lose progress if I reroll a slot with an existing enhancement?

If you reroll on a slot where an enhancement is already active on your card, you will see the two new enhancement options, and also have a third option to keep the current enhancement. No progress will be lost, but you will need to spend plasma on rerolling.

Do Enhancements show up in battle? How can I track them?

Enhancements will be visible in battle in the same form as a status effect. Card with enhancements can be inspected just like any other card currently.

The benefits will apply directly to the cards base stats and will to all intents and purposes replace those base stats.

E.g a card with 100 Wounds, with a +10% Wounds Enhancement will in effect have a base Wounds of 110.

Are enhancements active in Ranked, Events, Campaigns, etc.?

Enhancements are applied to a card at the collection level, and are carried over into all game modes.

Are all cards getting Enhancements at once?

Enhancements will initially be available only to Warlords. We have plans to roll this out to Bodyguards as well, but given the size and scope of this new feature, and its implications for the game’s balance, we want to ensure that it goes out smoothly and in a controlled manner.

Are there new achievements, missions, or rewards tied to Enhancements?

Not currently no, but maybe in the future.

What enhancement types are there?

Enhancements at launch will affect these card stats: Wounds, Ranged, Psychic, Melee, Boost All (Omni).

What are the enhancement rarities?

Enhancements will have bronze, silver and gold rarities. The drop rates for these are:

Bronze – 60%

Silver – 30%

Gold – 10%

How does rarity affect the stat boost?

The wounds/ranged/psychic/melee stat effects are boosted by the following amount:

Bronze: +5%

Silver: +10%

Gold: +20%

Omni are boosted by the following:

Bronze: +5%

Silver: +10%

Gold: +15%

Will I lose cards when I upgrade my Bodyguards to max level?

You will not lose the bonus copies of cards when doing max level upgrades. We are storing the extra cards within our data, for when we roll out enhancements for Bodyguards. At that point, you will be able to use those extra cards to level up your Bodyguards to their new max level.
