A New Era of Customization Begins

Welcome to the 40.0 Update, one of our most exciting patches yet! We’re introducing a massive new feature, launching a legendary Supreme Commander, and making a wave of fixes and improvements based on your feedback. Here’s what’s new:

New Feature: Enhancements Are Coming!

Enhancements are a brand-new way to power up your favourite cards, adding customizable, passive stat boosts that let you shape your deck like never before.

  • Boost Melee, Ranged, Psychic, Wounds, or even multiple stats at once with Omni Enhancements.
  • Warlord cards get three Enhancement slots, each unlocked as you level up the card.
  • Choose between two randomized options per slot, and reroll anytime with plasma!
  • No progress lost: cards keep their current level and get access to new milestones without additional cost.
  • Enhancements come in Bronze, Silver, and Gold, with increasing power.

Enhancements will work across all game modes and will initially be available for Warlords only, with bodyguards possibly to follow. Read our full Enhancements Breakdown for a deep dive into how they work: https://bit.ly/45l6ikz

New Supreme Commander

  • Titan’s champion will be joining the fight!
  • Look out for the upcoming release.

Fixes & Improvements

We’ve squashed some key bugs and made usability updates across the board:

Bug Fixes

  • Wildcard Reward Count Missing
    • Fixed an issue where the number of wildcard rewards was not displayed in the Battle Pass. This affected all platforms and is now correctly showing reward quantities.
  • Hero Pack Visuals Missing
    • Fixed a bug where Hero Packs were missing their associated asset, causing them to appear incorrectly in the store. The correct visuals are now displayed as intended.
  • New Warlord Match Error
    • Resolved a bug that caused an error when starting a match with a newly unlocked Warlord (one that hadn’t been used previously in that mode). The error required players to restart the match, but this is now fixed across all modes: Ranked, Casual, Apocalypse, and Crusades.

UI Improvements

  • Upgrade Screen – Enhancement Slot Visibility
    • Locked enhancement slots now clearly show padlocks when previewing future levels.
    • Added a “Tap to Equip” notification on any unlocked slot to guide players toward Enhancement use.
  • Collection Screen – Enhancement Availability
    • Cards with available Enhancement slots now display an icon notification for visibility.
    • The “Available to Upgrade” filter now correctly includes cards eligible for Enhancement upgrades.
  • Enhancement Popups – Visual & Functional Updates
    • Updated artwork for the Enhancement info popup.
    • Reroll button now includes clearer text and a discount flag when applicable.
    • If you reroll but don’t select a new option, a new notification reminds you to make your choice.
    • Popup layout and sizing improved to reduce empty space and improve readability.

That’s Just the Beginning

This update marks the beginning of a new chapter for Warhammer Combat Cards. With Enhancements, your decks become more personal, more powerful, and more strategic than ever.

We can’t wait to see how you use them and what combos emerge from your creativity.

TL;DR

  • Enhancements are on the way – Passive stat boosts with tons of customization.
  • A new Supreme Commander is on the way.
  • Key bugs squashed and UI polished.

See you on the battlefield, Commanders and may your Enhancements roll Gold!
